Speed Training

I'm definitely amping up my speed game as we move into full blown competition season in the world of jump rope. My main focus this year is definitely Worlds, which take place in Hong Kong the first week of August. I've always been more of a "sprinter" in the speed world, so I'm really focusing on establishing a pace that I can hold on to for three minutes (and then hopefully bumping up that pace a little).  Here's a 15 second snap shot of a drill I've been doing a lot of lately:  6 rounds, each for 30 seconds, with a 15 second break between rounds. I'm really just trying to get comfortable at this pace for a longer amount of time, and easing my way into it with those 15 second breaks. Next step is to hold the pace for 60 seconds w
